Armand de Brignac: A New Chapter in Champagne
Armand de Brignac, known worldwide as “Ace of Spades,” was created in 2006 through a collaboration between Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter and the Cattier family, whose Champagne heritage stretches back more than 250 years. The Cattier family has cultivated vines in the Montagne de Reims since 1625, bringing generations of vineyard knowledge and Champagne craftsmanship to the creation of the Maison.
Rooted in the Montagne de Reims
The Maison’s vineyards are centered in the Montagne de Reims, with the Cattier family owning 33 hectares across renowned villages including Rilly-la-Montagne, Chigny-les-Roses and Ludes. Armand de Brignac selects grapes from distinguished Champagne terroirs and focuses on the finest first portion of the press, known as the cuvée, to preserve freshness, fruit character and balance.
The Art of the Assemblage
A defining feature of Armand de Brignac is its trio-of-vintages blending philosophy, bringing together wines from three different harvests to create depth while maintaining the Maison’s signature style. Each bottle is also individually finished with a hand-applied French pewter label and polished metal coating, reflecting the house’s emphasis on craftsmanship. Its portfolio includes Brut Gold, Rosé, Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs and other limited cuvées.
