BOND Winery — Napa Valley, California, USA
Founded in 1996 by H. William “Bill” Harlan II, BOND Winery is an ultra-premium producer of single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon based in Oakville, Napa Valley. Inspired by a Burgundian Grand Cru approach, BOND crafts wines that reflect the unique character of each exceptional vineyard site. The winery does not own vineyards outright but forms long-term partnerships and hands-on management arrangements with select growers to ensure meticulous attention to terroir and quality.
BOND produces wines from five “Grand Cru” hillside vineyards: Melbury (elegant and refined), Vecina (powerful and structured), St. Eden (plush and rich), Pluribus (intense mountain character), and Quella (bright and mineral-driven). Each vineyard yields a distinct Cabernet Sauvignon that showcases the soil, aspect, and microclimate of its location.
With limited production — typically 450–600 cases per vineyard bottling — BOND wines are highly sought after by collectors worldwide and distributed on an allocation-only basis. The winery operates a private, invitation-only tasting experience and is not open for public tours.
The winemaking philosophy at BOND emphasizes purity, elegance, and aging potential. Each grape is hand-selected, and the wines are meticulously crafted to express the essence of the vineyard, with minimal intervention in the cellar. The result is Cabernet Sauvignons that are rich, structured, and capable of decades of graceful evolution.
BOND’s dedication to terroir and excellence has earned it a reputation as one of Napa Valley’s most prestigious wineries. The wines consistently receive high acclaim from critics and collectors alike, cementing BOND’s status as a benchmark for premium Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.
