Caiarossa Toscana IGT
This wine displays bright and focused fruit, framed by an elegant mineral note of crushed limestone. The fruit is presented as dark cherry and sweet blackberry, but the wine also shows savory tones of tobacco and cured leather. However, those candied cherry and raspberry notes emerge with distinction and underline the heat of the vintage. The tannins are a bit dusty and bitter.

Caiarossa
Caiarossa was created in 1998 on the rolling hillsides of Riparbella at Podere Serra All’Olio, a 100 hectare estate, part of an area owned for centuries by the De Medici family. Wine has been produced in Tuscany for millennia, but from its creation Caiarossa decided to be different, following biodynamic principles in partnership with the highest levels of professional winemaking to ensure the truest possible expression of character and vitality of this extraordinarily diverse and vibrant terroir.
Thanks to the continuous commitment and passion of the Albada Jelgersma family, their original 12-hectare vineyard has continued to grow over the years while still carefully fulfilling the founding vision. The entire Caiarossa estate now totals 100 hectares including 40 hectares of vines, 34 hectares of forest, 20 hectares of wildflower meadows and 6 hectares of olive groves.
