This Malbec has a bright bouquet of mocha, sandalwood and crème de cassis with blueberry compote. The mouthfeel is rather voluptuous, yet slightly tannic as the wine evolves into displaying dark fruit flavours that connect with tar, graphite, and Turkish coffee. Round and generous, the silky texture glides through the mid-palate and leaves a lasting impression on the finish.

Founded in 1902, Argentina’s Bodega Catena Zapata is known for its pioneering role in resurrecting Malbec and in discovering extreme high altitude terroirs in the Andean foothills of Mendoza. The family’s Adrianna Vineyard at almost 5,000 feet elevation has been called the Grand Cru of South America.
