Dom Pérignon: A Legacy in Champagne
The story of Dom Pérignon begins in 1668, when Pierre Pérignon, a Benedictine monk, became cellar master at the Abbey of Hautvillers in the heart of Champagne. He dedicated decades to improving vineyard cultivation, grape selection, pressing and blending, establishing principles that became an important part of the region’s winemaking heritage.

Dom Pérignon remains deeply connected to Hautvillers and the Champagne terroir. The Maison produces Champagne exclusively from declared vintages, allowing each wine to express the character of a particular harvest.
