Burgundy

From a cool, stony parcel that’s influenced by the Combe Grisard, the 2017 has a very refined bouquet of blackberry, raspberry, undergrowth and just a touch of graphite. The masculine palate is medium-bodied, with fine tannin, good weight and structure and a persistent, vivid finish that is pure joy.

Description

Domaine Faiveley

Domaine Faiveley, established in 1825, is one of Burgundy’s most prestigious family estates, now in its seventh generation. The domaine has grown significantly over the years, particularly under the leadership of Erwan Faiveley, who took over in 2005. He focused on refining both vineyard practices and winemaking techniques to produce wines that express the complexity of Burgundy’s terroir. The estate spans a vast area, including grand cru vineyards in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, such as Chambertin, Musigny, and Corton. Faiveley also holds properties in Chablis and recently acquired a stake in Sonoma’s Williams Selyem. Today, the estate is known for its silky, textured Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
