Triple sec is an orange liqueur distilled three times at 20–40°, produced by macerating citrus fruit peels for several months in alcohol to create a richly aromatic infusion that is then distilled. It may be delicately sweetened with sugar or honey to enhance balance. The result is a round, smooth liqueur with a fragrant aromatic body, dominated by vibrant citrus flavours and complemented by subtle notes of cinnamon.
