Heitlinger Pinot Noir displays a brilliant ruby-red hue, opening with an inviting bouquet of vibrant red fruits layered with a subtle touch of earthy spice. Aromas of ripe cherry, blackcurrant, and wild berries unfold gracefully. On the palate, it is soft, supple, and effortlessly drinkable, with fine tannins and balanced acidity supporting the fresh fruit core. The finish is clean and harmonious, making this Pinot Noir both approachable and refined.

Description

Heitlinger

Weingut Heitlinger is a premium, certified organic wine estate located in Östringen-Tiefenbach in the Kraichgau region of Baden, Germany — one of the most Burgundian terroirs in the country. The winery’s terroir is defined by colored marl, limestone, and loess soils, lending the wines a distinctive fruity-mineral character. Over 80% of the vineyards are planted with Pinot family varieties, reflecting the estate’s strong focus on Burgundian grapes such as Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Auxerrois and Pinot Meunier

Founded in 1960 by Albert Heitlinger, the estate has evolved into one of Germany’s largest organic wine producers, now owned by Weingüter Heitlinger & Burg Ravensburg GmbH with Claus Burmeister as managing director and winemaker. It became certified organic in 2010 and has been a member of VDP – Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter since 2012, marking it among Germany’s elite wine estates.

Heitlinger’s philosophy emphasizes sustainability, biodiversity, and terroir expression:

✔ Vineyards are maintained with care to support flora, fauna, and soil life
✔ Grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously sorted
✔ Winemaking balances traditional craftsmanship with careful modern techniques
✔ Premium sites include celebrated vineyards such as Spiegelberg, Heinberg, Eichelberg, Königsbecher, Schellenbrunnen, and Hassapfel — many classified by VDP as Große Lagen.
