J.P. Chenet is the biggest French wine brand worldwide.
It has a large catalogue of wines from many of the most famous international grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
The brand was established in 1984 by the beverage company Les Grands Chais de France, and is most recognizable for its uniquely shaped bottle with a curved neck.

The brand offers wines in a gamut of styles, and with varying levels of sweetness. The fruit comes from across France with many wines carrying the IGP Pays d’Oc designation from the Languedoc region.

It was first introduced with two wines, a Cabernet Sauvignon from Pays d’Oc and a white blend of Colombard and Ugni Blanc from Côtes de Gascogne. Chenet stood out from other French wines by labeling and promoting the grape variety on the bottle ahead of the region, an uncommon practice in France in the 1980s. The distribution extends to more than 160 countries around the world.
