Louis Roederer: A Legacy of Champagne
Founded in 1776 in Reims, Louis Roederer is one of the few major Champagne houses that remains family-owned and independent. A defining moment came in 1833, when Louis Roederer inherited the house and began acquiring vineyards in some of the region’s finest terroirs, establishing a philosophy centered on controlling the quality of the grapes from the vineyard onward.
Rooted in the Heart of Champagne
Today, the Maison’s estate covers around 250 hectares across 420 vineyard plots, extending through the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. Louis Roederer places strong emphasis on sustainable and regenerative vineyard practices, with its viticulture shaped by biodiversity, careful observation and respect for the living environment.
