Maycas del Limarí is a premium Chilean wine project from the Limarí Valley, one of Chile’s most distinctive cool-climate wine regions. Today, the brand is part of Viñedos Emiliana S.A. (Emiliana Organic Vineyards), renowned for its commitment to organic and sustainable viticulture.

Located in the northern part of Chile’s wine country, the Limarí Valley is strongly influenced by the Pacific Ocean. Cool coastal breezes, morning coastal fog and the valley’s limestone-rich soils create ideal conditions for producing wines with freshness, mineral character and remarkable precision.

Maycas wines express the unique character of the Limarí Valley, combining elegant fruit expression with vibrant acidity and a distinctive mineral freshness. The vineyards are located around Ovalle, close to the Limarí River, where the region’s calcareous soils contribute to the wines’ structure and natural tension.

The Limarí Valley

The Limarí Valley is characterized by a semi-arid climate moderated by the Pacific Ocean. Coastal winds and morning camanchaca fog help maintain cooler temperatures, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly while retaining natural acidity and freshness.

The valley’s distinctive limestone and calcium-rich soils are particularly important to the character of Maycas wines, contributing to their mineral expression, crisp acidity and refined structure.

Wines of Maycas del Limarí

The Maycas portfolio includes expressive varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, showcasing the exceptional potential of the Limarí Valley for both white and red wines.

Maycas Chardonnay is known for its citrus and spice aromas, creamy brioche character, fresh acidity and subtle saline minerality. Maycas Pinot Noir offers red-fruit aromas such as cherry and raspberry, complemented by floral and spicy notes with vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins.
