Uniquely amongst Habanos Cohiba’s filler leaves undergo an additional fermentation in barrels. This unique process produces a special aroma and flavour you will only find in Cohiba. The first new addition to La Linea 1492 since the Siglo VI in 2002, its dimensions are inspired by the shortest (Siglo I) and widest (Siglo VI) cigars in the Linea. Released to celebrate 50 years since the birth of Cohiba, ‘Medio Siglo’ translates to English as ‘half century’.
Description
COHIBA
Cohiba is filled with tobacco that comes from the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba which has undergone an extra fermentation process. Cuban Cohiba was established in 1966 as a limited production private brand supplied exclusively to Fidel Castro and high-level officials in the Communist Party of Cuba and Cuban government. Often given as diplomatic gifts, the Cohiba brand gradually developed a “cult” status. It was first released commercially for sale to the public in 1982.
