Philosophy

The estate follows a philosophy of minimal intervention and deep respect for nature, focusing on biodiversity, low yields, and the preservation of rare grape varieties. Wines are crafted to reflect the authentic character of the terroir while maintaining elegance, balance, and long aging potential.

Vineyards

  • Located in the Gassac Valley, surrounded by forest and natural biodiversity
  • Deep glacial and limestone-rich soils with excellent drainage
  • Cool microclimate influenced by air currents from the Larzac plateau
  • Home to a “vineyard conservatory” with over 40 rare and non-clonal grape varieties

Signature Wines

The flagship red is a Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend, known for its structure and longevity. The white wine is a complex blend of varieties such as Viognier, Chardonnay, Petit Manseng, and Chenin Blanc, offering freshness, aromatics, and remarkable aging potential.

Accolades

Widely regarded as one of the greatest estates in southern France, Mas de Daumas Gassac has earned global acclaim and is often compared to classified growths for its consistency, quality, and ability to age gracefully over decades.
