Description

Nino Franco

Antonio Franco was an honest wine merchant. His son Giovanni , known as Nino , began producing sparkling wines.

But it was the “quiet revolution” of Primo Franco , his nephew, that triggered the spark of change, opening the doors of the best restaurants in the world to his Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. Primo was responsible for the courage to have crossed the Piave, leaving behind a peasant world closed to its own habits.

The new wave of Primo’s Prosecco – authorial, intimate and identifying – is the sum of his experiences, in which travels, meetings, acquaintances with chefs and gastronomes of Nouvelle Cuisine , his oenology studies and his love for architecture converge, chatting and drinking with friends.

Today, after a century of history, Nino Franco is the icon of Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. With absolute respect for his territory, he has been able to undermine, with quality and imagination, prejudices about an easy and standardized wine, the prerogative of a rustic and pragmatic culture.
