Screaming Eagle Winery
Screaming Eagle is an ultra-prestigious, cult-status winery situated in Oakville, Napa Valley, renowned for producing some of the rarest and most coveted wines in the world. Established in 1986 by Jean Phillips, the estate quickly achieved international acclaim following its first commercial release in the early 1990s, forever redefining modern Napa Valley luxury.
The estate vineyard covers approximately 57 acres of gently sloping land composed primarily of well-drained alluvial soils enriched with gravel and loam. These ideal growing conditions, combined with Oakville’s warm days and cool nights, allow for extended ripening, delivering exceptional concentration, balance, and aromatic complexity. Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the plantings, complemented by smaller proportions of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Winemaking at Screaming Eagle is guided by a philosophy of absolute precision, minimal intervention, and uncompromising quality. Yields are kept extremely low, grapes are harvested by hand, and each lot is vinified separately to preserve vineyard expression. The wines are aged in carefully selected French oak barrels, enhancing structure and finesse without overpowering the fruit.
The flagship Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon is celebrated for its layered black fruit aromas, refined tannins, remarkable depth, and extraordinary longevity. A limited-production Screaming Eagle Sauvignon Blanc is also produced, offering elegance, texture, and freshness that rival the world’s finest white wines.
Produced in extremely limited quantities and allocated exclusively through a private mailing list, Screaming Eagle wines are highly sought after by collectors, luxury resorts, and fine-dining establishments. Their rarity, consistent critical acclaim, and impeccable craftsmanship have cemented Screaming Eagle’s status as a global icon and a benchmark for Napa Valley excellence.
