Villa Sparina
Villa Sparina is a Gavi winery in Piedmont, spread over 100 hectares of which 70 are reserved for the cultivation of native grape varieties dedicated to the production of Gavi and Barbera. The vineyards are located in the hills of Monterotondo, one of the best exposed areas for the production of the Cortese grape.
The history of Villa Sparina begins in the early seventies, when Mario Moccagatta and his wife Bruna bought the estate and founded the Villa Sparina farm. The favourable position of the vineyards and the family’s excellent management skills and experience soon sealed the success of the wine business: Villa Sparina soon became one of the best producers of Gavi in the Piedmont region.
