After an initial period of maturation in ex-bourbon casks, the whiskey in the second maturity stage may mature in Swedish oak barrels, which gives the whiskey an extra stronger flavor. The basis of this Scandinavian whiskey is the purest water in the world. The barley used here is developing a very sweet flavor during the hot summer days.
